Faith Quest ("we", "our", "us") is a free mobile game developed for Android devices and distributed through the Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use Faith Quest, how that information is used, and what rights you have regarding your data.

By downloading and using Faith Quest, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.

Faith Quest is available in all countries where the Google Play Store operates. This policy is designed to comply with applicable data protection laws globally, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Union and European Economic Area, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for users in California, USA.

2. Age Requirements

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has used this app or provided personal information, please contact us immediately at gerald30.munyoro@gmail.com and we will take steps to remove any such information.

Users between the ages of 13 and 17 should review this policy with a parent or guardian before using the app.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Photos, videos, or files from your device

3.2 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Faith Quest stores the following data exclusively on your device using Android's SharedPreferences system. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party:

• Current level progress (which levels have been completed)
• In-game coin balance
• Sound and settings preferences
• Onboarding completion status

3.3 Internet Connectivity Check

Faith Quest requires an active internet connection to play. When you attempt to open a level, the app performs a DNS lookup to google.com solely to verify that your device has a working internet connection. No personal data is transmitted during this check, and no information is stored or logged by us as a result of this process.

3.4 Data Collected by Third-Party Services

The following data may be collected automatically by the third-party services integrated into Faith Quest. We do not have direct access to or control over this data - it is governed by the respective third-party's privacy policy.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Google AdMob

Faith Quest uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. AdMob is operated by Google LLC. The advertising SDK may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant advertisements.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time by adjusting your device settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (Android 12+) or Opt out of Ads Personalisation (older versions)

4.2 Google Play In-App Review API

After completing certain levels (level 5 and level 10), Faith Quest may display a prompt asking you to rate the app on the Google Play Store. This feature uses Google Play's In-App Review API. The prompt is managed entirely by Google Play and we do not receive, store, or have access to any review content or rating data you submit. This feature is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

4.3 Google Play Store

Faith Quest is distributed through the Google Play Store. Google collects certain data related to app downloads, installs, crashes, and usage as part of standard Play Store operations. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. How We Use Information

Faith Quest itself does not collect personal information, so we do not use your personal data for any purpose. The locally stored game data on your device is used solely to:

• Save and restore your game progress between sessions
• Maintain your in-game coin balance
• Remember your preferences (sound on/off)
• Prevent the onboarding screen from showing on every launch

Data collected by Google AdMob is used by Google to display advertisements within the app. We receive aggregated, anonymised ad revenue reports through the AdMob dashboard, which contain no personally identifiable information.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

The only data sharing that occurs is between your device and Google's services (AdMob, Google Play) as described in Section 4. This sharing is governed entirely by Google's privacy policies and terms of service.

7. Data Retention & Storage

All game data (progress, coins, preferences) is stored locally on your Android device using SharedPreferences. This data:

• Remains on your device for as long as the app is installed
• Is permanently deleted when you uninstall Faith Quest
• Can be cleared at any time via Settings → Apps → Faith Quest → Clear Data on your device
• Is never backed up to our servers (we have no servers)

Data collected by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's data retention policies.

8. Security

We take the security of your information seriously. Since Faith Quest does not collect or transmit personal data to any server we operate, the risk of a data breach involving your personal information is minimal.

Game data stored locally on your device is protected by Android's built-in application sandbox, which prevents other apps from accessing it.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your device's operating system and security software up to date.

9. Your Rights – GDPR (EU/EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

9.1 Legal Basis for Processing

Since Faith Quest does not collect personal data directly, we do not process your personal data. Google AdMob processes data on the basis of legitimate interests (non-personalised ads) or consent (personalised ads, where applicable under GDPR).

• Right to Know: You have the right to request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of personal information we have collected about you.

Since Faith Quest does not collect personal information directly, there is no personal information for us to disclose or delete on our end. All requests regarding data collected by Google AdMob should be directed to Google.

11. International Data Transfers

Faith Quest is available globally. Because we do not collect or store personal data on our own servers, we do not perform international data transfers ourselves.

• Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission for EU/EEA data transfers

12. Children's Privacy

Faith Quest is rated for users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions, if we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete that information.

The advertising within Faith Quest is served by Google AdMob and is configured for a general audience. AdMob's policies prohibit the serving of personalised ads to users known to be under the age of consent in their jurisdiction.
